Who says that among the ranks of candy and sweets lovers there are only the little ones?
Even adults love to indulge in a moment of sweetness every once in a while: at the cinema instead of the classic popcorn or in moments of discouragement, to restore morale.
The passion of the Italian people who love sweets has been demonstrated by numerous surveys and statistical research which has shown that more than 90% of us eat sweets and just over half do so several times a week.
In short, making a quick count, more than twenty million Italians are labeled as habitual consumers of sweets.
Where does this need to eat sweets and candies come from?
Whether they are purchased online or at a sweets wholesale physical, consuming candy is perceived as a way to dedicate time to yourself.
With a simple gesture it is possible to recall happy childhood moments, memories of afternoons spent at the grandparents' house. For others, consuming sweets means sharing small moments of daily pleasure with friends, acquaintances and family.
Alongside the more nostalgic and sentimental there are also people who indulge in the pleasure of a candy when:
- have a sore throat and are looking for immediate relief;
- feel the need for fresher breath;
- they experience a moment of stress, for example, during a trip by plane or train;
- they watch television programmes.
Candies and sweets: are they really a product only for children?
At this point the question arises: is the consumption of sweets and sweets greater in the adult segment of the population or in the younger one?
To the amazement of many, the highest percentage of consumption is among the adult population who rarely decide to buy sweets for children.
What are the most purchased candies and sweets?
The world of candy consumers is divided fairly evenly between those who prefer sugar-free sweets (perhaps to feel less guilty) and those with sugar.
The division is more articulated when the taste factor is considered: in the first positions we find anise, mint and eucalyptus; then follow citrus fruits, licorice, natural herbs, coffee, berries, honey, milk, creams, cola, caramel, black cherry and exotic flavors.
Finally, let's focus on the texture of the candies:
